The Island Hopper Songwriter Fest is an annual music event held in Southwest Florida that celebrates the art of songwriting. It brings together talented singer-songwriters from various genres and backgrounds for a series of intimate performances and storytelling sessions. The festival takes place across multiple venues on three different islands: Captiva Island, Fort Myers Beach, and downtown Fort Myers.
Much like the songwriter’s themselves, the website had to reflect the their unique style and storytelling ability, share the inspiration behind their songs and the stories that shaped them. This helped create an intimate and engaging experience for the visitor, allowing them to connect with the website and the music on a deeper level.
Taking queues from album cover aesthetics of past eras, particularly the 1960s, 1970s, and 1980s. The site embraces a nostalgic and often whimsical approach, incorporating vibrant colors, bold typography, and iconic graphic elements that evoke a sense of nostalgia. One characteristic of the site is the use of vibrant and contrasting color palettes. Bright, saturated hues are employed to create a visually striking impact and add to the overall retro vibe of the design.
