Mobile Bay.
Historic detail, simplified
Mobile’s identity is rooted in history, craftsmanship, and celebration, but the goal was to avoid the expected Mardi Gras clichés and create something more enduring.
The concept draws from the wrought iron details found throughout the city’s architecture. Those curves and ornamental forms became the foundation for the mark, paired with a classic typeface that brings structure and longevity to the wordmark. The result feels historic without becoming dated.
Balancing detail and simplicity was key. The decorative elements frame the mark without overwhelming it, while a subtle weathered texture adds a sense of age and authenticity.
Designed as a flexible tourism identity, the logo was built to live across signage, merchandise, advertising, and digital, holding its character in both bold and restrained applications.
