Potter County.

Built for the outdoors

Potter County is known as “God’s Country,” a place defined by wide open landscapes, dense forests, and a sense of adventure that begins the moment you arrive. The goal for the logo was to capture that rugged identity in a mark built for the outdoors.

The concept centers on durability and exploration. Inspired by park signage and trail markers, the design takes on a badge-like structure with layered elements that feel sturdy and dependable. Weighty typography and controlled distressing give the mark a worn-in quality, like something shaped by the elements over time.

Balancing texture with readability was key. The details needed to add character without compromising clarity, especially across merchandise and digital applications.

The result is a logo that feels at home in the field, grounded, resilient, and ready for wherever the trail leads next.
