Where booking meets experience
The project started with a three hour presentation from the client. Slides filled with ideas, feature requests, creative inspiration, brand references, and a long list of things the platform needed to do. Our job was to take all of that ambition and turn it into something that actually made sense for travelers.
Inspiration Travel plans cruises and tours built around well known speakers, pastors, and performers they call “headliners.” People are not just booking a destination. They are booking a chance to travel with someone they admire. The site needed to support that by helping visitors discover trips, explore destinations, and find the right headliner, all while staying clear and easy to navigate.
The visual direction leaned into an editorial, modern approach. With a large volume of content, the design focused on strong typography, generous white space, and a clear hierarchy to avoid feeling dense or overwhelming. There was a conscious effort to avoid anything sterile or overly corporate, instead using photography and layout to bring energy and personality into the experience.
The public site became the front door to that experience, with filtering across destinations, headliners, dates, and travel types. Each destination introduced its own visual theme with distinct color palettes, imagery, and patterns, requiring a flexible system that could adapt without losing consistency. The themed trip detail pages are where the design really comes to life, allowing each experience to feel unique while staying grounded in a clear structure.
Beyond the marketing site, the platform included two integrated dashboards. Travelers could manage itineraries, documents, schedules, and past trips in one place, while headliners could track trips and review performance through reporting tools. Once the homepage direction was approved, the project moved quickly, supported by a strong collaboration with the client’s internal creative lead.
The finished platform connects trip discovery, traveler management, and headliner logistics into one cohesive experience. Engagement, page views, bookings, and time on site all increased after launch. Even better, the visual direction began influencing their email and print materials, helping extend the brand beyond the website.
